Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) sites and sponsors that are a partner of ECHSC and are located in either Richland or Lexington County are eligible to apply for up to $1,000 in funding to support their child nutrition program. All applications must be received by Friday April 27, 2018 in order to be considered for funding. Project work and grant funds must be completed by August 31, 2018.

Mini-grants may be used to support youth enrichment projects including but not limited to gardens, outdoor classrooms, educational field trips, school and project supplies, additional meals for children such as take-home meal options, technology such as computers or tablets, volunteer stipend, transportation, outdoor/ playground equipment and other necessities. Awards are competitive, and proposals will be evaluated on the projects description and impact.

Recipients of the funding will be required to participate in evaluation activities, including sharing information and numbers on who is impacted and participating in an interview at end of the funding period to share about the project and lessons learned.
